I made pre need arrangements 3 years before our loved one passed. The Clark street location staff was patient, understanding and compassionate to our situation. Once the call for pickup service service was made, I was present for the dignified preparation to transport for her final journey. My husband passed very suddenly with no plan in place. I called late on a Friday night and was told I would get a call Monday, which I did. I was still in shock when I arrived to make the arrangements the next day. Everyone was absolutely wonderful. didn't push me to make a decision on something I didn't want. All Costs were clearly marked so it was very straightforward, despite my confused condition. The funeral home was wonderful. My husband looked like himself. guests were very complimentary.. I would recommend them to anyone making plans. Highly recommend!

They are wonderful. I walked into their Glen Ellyn office so she’ll shocked. I had lost my husband suddenly only 3 days before. I was in no shape to make decisions. The staff helped walked me through with no pressure. Only helping me to pick out what I wanted. Kind and compassionate. The memorial service was beautiful, my husband looked like my husband. The funeral home was also wonderful. Everyone took a traumatic situation and made it seamless. I was in no condition to make decisions and they took care of it for me. They’re truly a wonderful organization.

In March of 2023 my brother passed away. He lived Illinois I live on the East Coast. I got a few phone numbers for crematories. I selected Cremation Society Of Illinois. Mike Klemundt from Cremation Society of Illinois helped me to navigate the cremation process with compassion, empathy and professionalism making the final decision stress free. Two months later Elizabeth and MIke texted me. They wanted to know if I was doing okay during this trying period and too let me know that everyone's healing journey is different. My father died April of 2020. He was 93 years old, and always told us "I will haunt you if you spend a bunch of money on my burial." He always said he wanted us to "put him in a leaky rowboat and push him out on Lake Michigan." However, that's illegal, so we did the next best thing and called Cremation Society of Illinois. It was the best decision we could have ever made for my father. He would have been very proud and pleased with our decision to have him cremated. Mike Delegatto is amazing! He is so great to work with, and his professionalism goes above and beyond any and all expectations we could possibly have! His support and comfort in the care of my father, along with his thorough informative explanation of the process, made us feel at peace with our decision of cremation. It was the perfect closure we needed for our father. Therefore, when my brother passed in March of 2023, we of course called Mike Delegatto at Cremation Society of Illinois and had my brother cremated. And again, another of our loved ones was in the BEST of care with Mike and his team at Cremation Society of Illinois. My family, friends, and I are extremely satisfied with the journey we have taken with our loved ones and the Cremation Society. We all HIGHLY RECOMMEND their services!

Brian and staff have been the most professional and thoughtful group I have worked with. I had problems with a previous company for cremation services unto I found Brian. Within just hours he successfully guided me through some tough days and I have all aspects completed and I received copies of all documents for my records. I could not have asked for better outcome! Having recently lost my husband and honoring his decision to be cremated I worked closely with the Cremation Society of Illinois. Working with Eric Klemundt was a blessing because he was understanding and calm. He told our family what was available and gave us resources to use to pick out the various items we were interested in. We never felt under any pressure. Even now, more than 2 months after our first visit with Eric, he or his co-worker, Elizabeth, keep in contact with us offering their service/help to support us through our grief and healing process. There has been no greater loss in my life than the recent, unexpected loss of my mother. A greater plan must have been in place for her, as my sister and I had just pre-made arrangements through the Cremation Society a mere 2 months prior to her passing. I had the pleasure of working with Sandra Aiello, who is by far the most compassionate and understanding person. She listened to what my mother's wishes were, she explained options without feeling overwhelmed, and respected our decisions without feeling the pressure to provide things my mother did not want. This was a very quick and professional process, which gave us peace of mind, thinking we had years before this plan would be in place. With the unexpected passing of our mother, I was devastated and yet prepared. I called Sandra and her boss, Eric, and they were kind, sensitive, and reassuring that the plan we had decided upon would be carried out per our mom's wishes. I was afraid, worried, and scared - Eric arrived and explained everything to my sister and me. He, along with our hospice nurse, prepared my mother for transport to the cremation society, with the utmost respect for us, but more importantly, for our mom. We felt secure knowing that our mom was in the care of people who genuinely cared for her. The next day when my sister and I met with Eric to review final preparations, he was a pleasure to work with. We had so many quirky questions, things you don't even think about until you are in this position - Eric answered all of our questions, and we learned that Eric's family has been in the funeral / cremation business for several generations. They are experienced and sensitive - respectful and caring - patient and understanding. My sister and I shared a few memories and found peace in knowing we were able to implement the plan our mother had for decades. Cremation was comforting and all employees were the most caring. Weeks and months since mom's passing, and Eric and his staff have continued to reached out to check in on us, to offer support and to let us know that we are not alone in our grief. Without a doubt, this is not the kind of service I expect from a company, but the type of consideration I expect from family. Thank you Eric, Sandra, and all the wonderful people from the Cremation Society, from the bottom of our hearts for taking such good care of mom, and of us.

My family and I were extremely pleased with the manner we were walked through the details with Eric Klemundt. The Cremation Society of Illinois has taken care of my husband, Alvin Kupferman, with such heartfelt emotions, including the pick up of his body from the home. The Cremation Society of Illinois was a Godsend to our family. My mother Fannie R. Freeman died at 95 years of age and I was heartbroken. Once I contacted the Cremation society of my mother's passing they came and removed the body. Their rep. Mike Delegatto would call and give me constant updates of what they were doing and explaining their process. I thought I would have to contact Social Security to notify them of my mothers passing but he told me that they had already contacted Social Security for me and took care of all the necessary paperwork. They were so caring and efficient that it made my mom's passing a little more bearable for me. the whole process was seamless and I was so impressed with them my wife and I now have contracts with them for when it is our time to pass on. I will refer them to anyone wanting to take the cremation path without any worries.

My mother, Bobbie Jean Ross, passed on April 14, 2020. Our case was assigned to Cynthinia 'Cindee' Towns in the Hyde Park Office. While planning and managing the details of my mother's cremation, Cindee proved to be an excellent counselor and advised us wisely based on her experience in the industry. She demonstrated an innate ability to anticipate my needs, updating me on my mother's cremation progress regularly, such as the doctor’s sign-off on the death certificate, cremation permit, urn selection, and estimated cremation date. Cindee went above and beyond expectations when she called to share the notification she had received from the crematory that mother’s body had entered the cremation furnace. Without a doubt, Cindee's caring nature and expertise in her field simplified the difficult process of cremating my mother during a pandemic. I am eternally grateful for everything Cindee Towns has done for my family. She is an invaluable asset to the Cremation Society of Illinois, and I would recommend to anyone in need to request Cindee as a counselor.

Missy Deleon was wonderful at completing and walking us through any options/changes for my Mom’s pre-arranged cremation. Having arranged this nearly 20 years ago - we did have a few minor changes. We never felt pressured or uncomfortable reviewing our options. I would recommend Cremation Society of Illinois to anyone who wishes to be cremated. My pre-arrangements are already done as well - I am very happy it is with Cremation Society of Illinois. Thanks Missy for everything.

I was totally impressed with the person who handled the arrangements, namely Brooke Benjamin. I had no prior experience with dealing with a cremation, or a cremation firm. But so many things were handled by her that I did not have to do myself - place the obit, print the invitations to the celebration of my friend's life, arrange for and get the death certificate, etc.
